There isn’t much on the web for single fathers! A few popular blogs, but they aren’t everyone’s style, and don’t hit at the core of what single fathers need to help them be founded and comfortable where they are, and to move forward with life. And there are many articles here and there, but none I’ve seen delve deep.
Why don’t more single fathers share their experience? Do they not write? Are they too hurt by their divorce? Have many slunk into the shadows to hide because of pain and confusion? Are we intimidated by the positive attention given to the single mother, and the missing and negative attention given to single fathers?
This site addresses the daily issues we face, the misconceptions of society, and more importantly, how to deal with divorce and our children. It covers several basic topics:
- What is it like to be a single father? This is to let fathers know they are not alone in their feelings, and mothers gain a view into the fathers’ experience.
- To cover some of the illegalities of law. Sounds conflicting, but it’s true?
- Life as a single father in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and its particular difficulties and issues.
This blog is religion-based, founded on Christian principles. No other foundation can bring the long-term peace and serenity needed in this world, especially for a divorced father.
